Folk Clothing began its life in 2001 as the brainchild by Cathal McAteer. His aim was to not only create stylish clothing, but to look beyond this into the larger context of modern product design including furniture and artwork. Folk clothing focuses on simple patterns, quality fabrics and attention to detail. The simplistic everyday garments are playful yet subtle, combining streetwear with an architect aesthetic.
