Folk Clothing began its life in 2001 as the brainchild by Cathal McAteer. His aim was to not only create stylish clothing, but to look beyond this into the larger context of modern product design including furniture and artwork. Folk clothing focuses on simple patterns, quality fabrics and attention to detail. The simplistic everyday garments are playful yet subtle, combining streetwear with an architect aesthetic. This makes their clothing a go to for wearable, everyday wardrobe staples that last.
Folk Clothing. Summer 2021 — 'Into the Light'
Folks newest collection seamlessly starts where Spring finished off – Into The Light. Folk approach this range resourcefully utilising surplus fabrics from their previous season alongside more organic & recycled textiles than ever before. This results in some serious patchworking which mixes the weight and structure of the range adding texture and transparency.
